Surfside
Dune and Beach Nourishment Project
Led and conducted the coastal engineering and alternatives
analysis for this project. Responsibilities included data collection,
statistical analyses of coastal processes, alternatives cross-section
analysis to evaluate runup and overtopping using RBREAK, toe scour and
storm protection and durability using CRESSWIN, RBREAK and SBEACH and
leading the task to conduct a numerical modeling of storm waves using
SWAN. Also worked as a design engineer in the Preliminary
and Final Engineering design of the project and compiled documentation
for permitting process.

Town of
Quintana Dune Restoration and Beach Nourishment
Project
Evaluated the dune and beach alternatives
storm protection and durability capabilities in response to severe storm
events using the 1-D cross-shore morphology model SBEACH.
Acted as the resident engineer during the construction
of Quintana beach. Traveled daily
to the Bay City borrow source to evaluate sand quality and excavation
procedures. Was
responsible for field verification of placement geometry and volumes
placed. Interacted
with contractors, took pictures of construction and created daily project
sheets that summarized the quantities loaded, unloaded, placed and percentage
of project completed.[construction

|
Sakhalin
Island Logistics
Verified wave climatology obtained from previous studies
for eastern Sakhalin Island based upon waves propagated from offshore
data buoys using SWAN, predicted near shore bathymetry and determined
the wave breaking zone for various offshore wave climatologies.
